PURPOSE:To enable the working of long-sized bent products without coil break by providing cams to a top die which moves vertically, and providing a work support which follows up work bending surely with the aid of said cams to a bottom die fixed to a press bed. CONSTITUTION:When a press ram 9 is brought down, the preceding end of a top die 7 contacts with the top surface of the work 1, and at the same time, upper, lower cams 2, 3 contact therewith. When the ram 9 is brought down further, bending of the work 1 starts with the preceding end of the die 7 and the ends at the shoulder width of a bottom die 6 as fulcrums, by which the work is rotated upward as shown by a chain line. The cam 3 and a work support 5 integral with the same rotates upward simultaneously while holding the work 1 around the ends of the shoulder width of the bottom die in following up to the speed of the ram 9, that is, the work 1 until the press attains the bottom dead point. When the ram 9 begins to ascend past the bottom dead point, the work 1 begins to descend, and the cam 3 and the support 5 reset to the horizontal positions while holding the work 1 cooperatively with the speed of the ram 9. The bending is thus completed. |
