The socket with earthing contact is provided with a safety device in order to close the contact holes when the socket is not in use. The safety device has a protective vane, a hollow cylinder, a spring and a spring protective device. This safety device is plugged onto a pin which is integrally formed on the plug body. This plug body furthermore has a protective device seat into which the protective vane is fitted. When the socket is not in use, the protective vane is located in a rotationally-fixed manner in the protective seat and, in consequence, can release the contact holes only when, at the same time, a pressure is exerted on the two ends of the protective vane into these contact holes, in the same way as during insertion of the two contacts of a plug. As a result of this uniform pressure effect, the protective vane is pressed out of the protective seat and is rotated on the socket body by means of guide surfaces. |
