The object of the invention is to guarantee a short-term storage of water and/or liquids harmful to the environment by means of flexible floating containers. The containers are produced from plastic sealing webs, preferably in thickness of 1 to 5 mm. The containers consist of at least two layers which are connected to one another in the edge region. They are equipped with one or more filling connections. The containers optionally acquire a pulling device by means of metal or plastic rails. The sealing webs are to have a specific gravity of less than 0.1. Where heavy liquids are concerned, air is to be pumped in, so that floatability is guaranteed. The containers can also be equipped with struts between the two layers.
