PURPOSE:To obtain a screen gravure plate in a simple process, by priting only a contact screen on a sensitized carbon tissue, and printing a screen positive through a transparent spacer. CONSTITUTION:A white line screen S having 100-350 lines per inch is contact- printed on a sensitized carbon tissue C to form hardened parts 2 (hatched part) on the tissue C. A screen positive P for use in lithography, letter ress or gravure printing is contact printed on the tissue C through a transparent spacer T to form hardened parts 6 corresponding to dots 4a, 4b, 4c of the positive P. The tissue C is transferred to a plate material, developed, and etched to obtain a gravure plate 8 having cells 10. |
