摘要 PURPOSE:To maintain always the ignition timing at a best fuel consumption point and to make it possible to prevent occurrence of knocking, by controlling the amount of intake-air to restrain occurrence of knocking, and by performing MBT control for the ignition timing after the above-mentioned restraint. CONSTITUTION:An intake-air amount control means (c) computes a control value for controlling the amount of intake-air, and controls an operating means (throttle valve) (e) to change the amount of intake-air to restrain occurrence of knocking so that knocking detected by a knocking detecting means (d) is restrained at a predetermined level. Further, after the above-mentioned restraint, an ignition timing control means (d) detects a peak valve of combustion at which the burning pressure of an engine cylinder becomes locally maximum in accordance with an output signal from a pressure detecting means (a), and therefore, performs the MBT (minimum spark advance) control of an ignition means (f) so that the position of the above-mentioned burning peak becomes a desired peak position at which the generated torque of the engine comes to be maximum. Thus, it is possible to greatly enhance the economy of fuel consumption and to prevent the engine from being damage due to knocking.
