PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of input and to decrease the number of input errors for a Japanese word input system using the KANA (JAPANESE syllabary)-Chinese character conversion, by storing previously a character train with which the type of character is designated. CONSTITUTION:A character type designating code fed to an input buffer 1 is detected at a character type designation detecting part 2. Then a memory writing part 3 is started and writes the information on the character train and the types of characters to a storage part 4 until the next character type designating code ''release'' is fed. At the same time, the input character train is sent to a memory retrieving part 5 via an input buffer 1. The part 5 retrieves the matching between the input character train and the character train within the part 4. If a coincident character train is detected, the character type designating code stored in the character train is delivered to be added to the input character train. Therefore the character type is designated as prescribed before the first word, no designation is thereafter needed each time. |
