Process for desulphurisation of flue gases from a solids incineration plant and device for carrying out the process

To desulphurise the flue gases from a solids incineration plant, it is proposed to cool the flue gases below the dew point prior to entry into the stack (16) and to collect the sulphur-containing condensate which forms and desulphurise it by passing it through an ion exchanger (12). The cooled flue gas themselves are expelled through the stack by means of a ventilator (15) or the like. The waste gas tubes (5) of the boiler (1) are led into a collection chamber (6) from which the flue pipe (14), with the ventilator arranged therein, is led to the stack (16). Condensate precipitating in the collection chamber (6) is taken up in a condensate collection chamber (7) and is introduced by a pump (10) via a hose piece (11) into the ion exchanger (12). The sulphur-containing condensate is there desulphurised and the desulphurised liquid can be discharged via an outlet hose (13) into the sewage system. <IMAGE>
