PURPOSE:To exactly stop the DC drive motor in a paper feeder to intermittently deliver papers by the DC motor for a printer by a method in which the paper feeder is connected with the DC motor during the half-rotation period of the former half of a drive shaft, the paper feeder is separated during the half-rotation period of the latter half of the drive shaft, and position and speed with slit are detected during the separation period. CONSTITUTION:During the period when a DC motor 5 turns normally and a drive shaft 4 turns in half, a gear 3 coupled with the oblique section 7b of a projection 7 is turned and one-pitch paper feeding is made by a rotary roller 2. During the remaining half- rotation period of the drive shaft, the parallel section 7a of the projection 7 is coupled with the gear 3 and thereby the gear 3 does not turn and the roller 2 also does not turn. During the remaining half-rotation period, a rotary plate 9 turns in such a way as to face a detection means 10 and holes 8 are orderly detected. During the detection period of the holes 8, clock pulse is counted, the number of the holes 8 passing is reduced or increased according to the sizes of the counted values, and the rotation of the motor is stopped when the number of the holes is within a set range. When it is out of the set range, the motor is turned normally or reversely to move it into the set range. |
