PURPOSE:To prevent an increasing in water content by penetration of the filtrate which is separated by pressure again into dehydrated sludge in a belt press type dehydrator by providing filtrate capturing plates of which the preceding ends contact tightly with the surface of compressing rolls on the side opposite from the sludge pressurizing surfaces of said rolls. CONSTITUTION:In pressure dehydration of hydrous sludge 3 in a belt press type dehydrator, filtrate receivers 31, 32, 33 which receive the filtrate of the sludge 3 oozed from belts 2, 7 are provided in dehydration parts 5, 5' by gravity and filtrate receivers 34, 35 are also provided in the lower parts of compressing rolls 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30. All the filtrate of the sludge flowing down by passing through the belts in the dehydration parts by gravity and the compressing roll parts is gathered in the above-mentioned filtrate receivers and is discharged 39 through troughs 36, 37, 38 to the outside of the machine. Since the penetration of the filtrate into the sludge which is once dehydrated by pressure by contact with said sludge is obviated, the increase in the water content of the dehydrated sludge is prevented. |
