PURPOSE:To improve close adhesion between a seal ring and seal plate and supply a cell of excellent leakproof of liquid, by applying an alkali resistant sealing agent onto an annular grooved part and then placing to seal the seal plate combined with the seal ring of L-shaped section to both prevent a leak of liquid from a positive electrode case side and disturb an escape of the seal ring. CONSTITUTION:A seal ring 3 of L-shaped section liquid-tightly combined with a seal plate consists of thermoplastic resin of nylon 6, 6, nylon 11, polyethylene, etc., and at least a part of the internal surface is covered by a sealing agent of pitch, asphalt, chlorosulfonic polyethylene, etc. to maintain close adhesion between the seal plate and positive electrode case. The cylindrical positive electrode case 4 equipped with a positive electrode terminal comprises an annular grooved part 11 overhung to the inside in the vicinity of an opening, and the seal ring combined with the seal plate can be placed on the part 11. An alkali resistant sealing agent, for instance, chlorosulfonic polyethylene 12 is applied to an upper face of the part 11 and inner face of the case opening continued to the part 11. |
