APPLICATION OF POLYFLUORINATED CHAIN AMINES AS ADDITIVES FOR LUBRICANTS

Application as additives for lubricants of polyfluorinated chain amines having the general formula: or of the mixture obtained industrially of these two formulas wherein: n is an integer comprised between 1 and 20; R2 is H or a lower alkyl radical; a is 2 or 4; R1 and Z are defined as follows: Z is H and R1 is H or an alkyl radical having from 1 to 6 atoms of carbon, an aryl radical or a cyclanic radical having from 3 to 10 atoms of carbon, or R1 and Z are alkyl radicals having from 1 to 6 atoms of carbon, or Z is -CH2-CHOHR and R1 is H, or an alkyl radical having from 1 to 6 atoms of carbon or -CH2CHOHR', R and R' being either H or -CH3, or R1 and Z form together a linear alkylene radical having from 3 to 10 atoms of carbon, characterized in that said polyfluorinated chain amines are added to said lubricant in association with a dispersant-detergent additive selected among organo-metal derivatives and the ash-free additives.
