For web-like roof foils which are laid, overlapping one another, over the rafters transversely with respect to the roof slope before attachment of the roof battens and the pantiles, a spacer (10) is proposed, which has an upper supporting strip (12) for an upper foil web, a lower bearing strip (14) for a lower foil web and a ventilation opening (16) formed between the strips (12, 14). The spacer (10) is attached, in the interspace between the rafters, between the overlapping edges of the foil webs, so that it spreads the latter apart and ensures ventilation of the surface of the foil webs facing the interior of the house. As a result, the formation of condensation on the foil web is prevented. <IMAGE>
