A fuel injection pump with a hydraulic injection timing mechanism is proposed, in which the adjustment piston (3) for the injection timing follows the adjustment of a control piston (14), which is displaceable by engine speed-related pressure against a spring (23), the point of support (24) of the spring (23) being adjustable by a stepping motor (25) in order to correct the injection timing. <IMAGE>
