The structure of a flat-roof edge in which a heat-insulating layer (4) is fixed to the bare ceiling (5) of a building and an edge board (2, 3) is fastened in the edge region is described. To make it possible to provide the bare ceiling more or less on all sides, and in particular in the edge region of the flat roof, with the heat insulation such that the penetration of cold with undesired condensation on the inner side is avoided, simple laying is possible and conventional roof-edge constructions can furthermore also be used as desired, provision is made according to the invention for at least one fixing support (1), which has a vertically extending part (12), to be fixed on the one hand to the bare ceiling (5) and on the other hand to the edge board (2, 3), to be able to be attached to the end face of the flat-roof edge, and for the heat-insulating layer (4) to be arranged so as to reach forwards as far as the outer edge (14) of the carcass. <IMAGE>
