PURPOSE:To enable stable, fast, and highly exact determination of hydrogen unaffected by an amt. of molten metal, by determining hydrogen diffused and released through a porous refractory immersed into a molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 3 coated with a coating material 4 is inserted into the concentric hollow part 2 of a porous refractory 1 immersed into a molten metal, and hydrogen contained in the molten metal is diffused and released through the refractory 1 to be drawn through the pipe 3 and to be determined. This determination process makes it unnecessary to take a sample, or to directly draw hydrogen by vacuum suction, and permits stable, fast, and highly exact determination of hydrogen unaffected an amt. of molten metal. |
