A current tapping device for electrical powering of a vehicle from a contact line 13. It includes contact elements 14, 15 arranged on the vehicle and able to move by means of drive elements 11 in the direction of the contact line, upward. Detection elements 20 are arranged on the vehicle or the current tap and designed to detect the deviation of the position of the contact line in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel of the vehicle, sideways. If the position deviation falls below a predetermined value, the drive element 11 is activated and it gives the contact elements 14, 15 a fast motion in the direction of the contact line. <IMAGE> |
