PURPOSE:To prevent any evaporation, separation and the like of the inner conductive film of a cathode-ray tube by fixing a high resistance conductive film on at least the inner surface of a neck tube which faces a grid. CONSTITUTION:A high-resistance conductive film 12 is provided on the inner surface of a neck tube 1 which faces a grid. Therefore, when an intra-tube electric discharge develops between the third grid 5 and a conductive film 12, since electric charges accumulated in the electrostatic capacity formed between the conductive film 12 and an external conductive film are discharged through the conductive film 12, the electric discharge energy is absorbed by the conductive film 12, and the electric discharge current is attenuated to, for example, around 1/10 to 1/1,000. Besides, any evaporation or separation of the conductive film 12 is prevented, and a high voltage can be applied during spot knocking. Consequently, a cathode-ray tube with a voltage-resistant property can be obtained. |
