PURPOSE:To prevent the baking of a sliding part within a head and the reduction of the amount of heat transfer to mixed gas within an intake manifold by providing an air vent passage communicated to a cooling water passage on the upper of said cooling water passage near the inlet of said passage of the manifold of a V type engine. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water forcedly sent to the water jacket of a cylinder block from a radiator by a water pump is fed from an inlet port 4b via the cooling water passage 4a of a cylinder head to the cooling water passage 4 of an intake manifold 1, and further circulated from an outlet mounting flange 5 to the radiator. At that time, the cooling water warms a suction pipe 2 in each jacket. Further, air collected in the cooling water passages 4, 4a near the inlet port 4b is collected from an oblique hole 19 via air vent passages 17, 18, and further from communication holes 20, 21 onto the most upper position part of the cooling water passage 4, and exhausted to the radiator. |
