Distributing machine with a distributing rack, which, in the working position, projects a considerable distance to the side of the machine, can be brought into the transporting and working position and is divided into at least two parts which are arranged so that they can swivel about axes pointing approximately horizontally and in the direction of travel, at least the inner parts of the distributing rack being held in the working position in a position at least approximately parallel to the surface to be covered and at least the outer parts of the distributing rack being supported in the working position by way of feeler elements at least partially on the surface to be covered. In order, by simple means, to achieve as close an adjustment as possible of the distributing rack to differing ground contours without causing losses in yield, the movement of the parts (6, 7) of the distributing rack (3) can be transmitted to one another in the working position by means of devices (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16). <IMAGE>
