<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition coil for an internal-combustion engine excellent in vibration resistance and improve the dielectric strength of the secondary high- voltage part, by shaping the primary coil so as to be connectable to the primary terminal in the upper part of the coil cap, and connecting the ends of the secondary coil to the primary and secondary terminals, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A metal plate 16 is buried inside a cylindrical leg part 2a and formed integrally therewith. One end of the metal plate 16 is downwardly projected from the lower end of the leg part 2a. A sub-wire 11 connected to the winding end of a secondary coil 5 is wound on the projecting part and connected thereto by soldering. The other end of the metal plate 16 is projected in the outer peripheral direction from the section of the leg part 2a above the upper flange 2c. On this projecting part, the winding start part of a primary coil 6 connected to a primary terminal 8 is wound several turns and connected thereto by soldering. This constitution eliminates the need for any insulating tube to simplify the wiring.</p> |
