In a subscriber line circuit, a feed voltage generator (KLG) outputting a constant power forms the equivalent line of a transformerlessly constructed hybrid network. This achieves an almost optimum subscriber line termination even under different prerequisites which accordingly avoids the feed current from flowing via the receive filter (EF) located at the four-wire branch of the hybrid network. <IMAGE>
