PURPOSE:To enable to perform a reliable and reproducible corrosion test, by a method wherein a sample is placed in a test tank so that exposed surfaces are positioned in parallel to each other, and a corrosive gas is brought to flow in parallel to the surface at a low speed. CONSTITUTION:Temperature and humidity are provided in a test tank 1 through a heater 4 located in the test tank 1, a humidifying tank 5 and a circulating blower 7, and corrosive gas, whose concentration is adjusted, is fed in through blow-off pipes 3. After, with a circulating blowing fan 7 actuated, gas rises between wind tunnel walls 8, 8' being circular in cross section and a test tank wall being square in cross section, it rises between a sample frame 10 and the test tank wall, it then flow inwardly along a buffer plate 9, and the bending of the open edge of the buffer plate brings gas to form a down air current. Gas flows in parallel to a surface of a sample 11 and enters a lower space 17 of the sample frame 10. A corrosive gas flows in parallel to the surface of the sample 10 at a low speed, and this enables to perform a reliable and reproducible corrosion test. |
