PURPOSE:To obtain a concave surface simply and simplify the adjustment of a rudius of curvature by a method wherein a dresser is fed into a direction inclined with respect to the rotational axial line of the grindstone, in the creating device to make the peripheral surface of a cylindrical grindstone into the concave surface, having an arcuated section substantially, by utilizing the dresser. CONSTITUTION:The dresser 2 is traversed into the inclined direction Y-Y inclined with respect to the rotational axial line direction X-X of the grindstone 1 and works on the periphery of the grindstone 1 from one side rim to the other side rim. The working point of the dresser 2 is moved from a point A to the point C via the point B providing a tendency wherein the depth of the point is increased from the point A or the point C toward the point B. The sectional configuration of the grindstone is shaped into the concave surface having the arcuated sectional configuration substantially. |
