The present invention concerns an apparatus containing a portable motorized chain saw and a stand 42 with a bench 34, 68, 90 for stationary but pivoted mounting of the motorized chain saw in the stand, and a table 12 for carrying the work piece, wherein the bench comprises a support arrangement joined to the stand 34 and able to rotate about a vertical axis 38, with a column 68, on which is supported a frame 96 which can swivel like a cradle about a horizontal axle 80, wherein the motor housing of the motorized chain saw carries a support plate 154, which is removably inserted in the frame 96 and can be detachably secured in the frame, and wherein the motorized chain saw can swivel about the vertical axis 38 for swivelling motion at different angles in relation to the table 12 and it can swivel about the horizontal axis 80 for swivelling of the motorized chain saw with its guide 156 and chain saw 160 in the direction of the table for sawing of the work piece placed on the table. In a preferred embodiment, the motorized chain saw contains an arrangement 192 pivoted to the support plate 154, which in the working position protects the saw chain from being touched either from above or from the sides. <IMAGE> |
