PURPOSE:To reduce corrosion of equipment and supply heat to an object safely and compactly under stabilized conditions even at a high temp. involved in direct heating, by employing trifluoroethanol as liquid heat medium for heat transfer equipment. CONSTITUTION:A liquid heat medium consisting of trifluoroethanol with a water content of 15% or lower is vaporized by heating in a regenerator 1 and a liquid phase 11 and a gas phase 12 are formed on the inner wall and in the hollow portion of piping 5, respectively. The medium is made to move upward in a gas/ liquid phase through piping 5, sight glass part 2 and piping 6 until it is fed into a condensor 3, where the medium is cooled and condensed by cooling water running within a radiator 10. The medium is then circulated to regenerator 1 via piping 7, a storage tank 4 and piping 8. EFFECT:The liquid heat medium is nontoxic on human body and is nonexplosive and can be used for household room heating and hot water supply. |
