The invention relates to a device which allows potted plants in culture pots of any shape and size to be provided with water and/or liquid nourishment. This takes place in conjunction with any type of container, for example with ornamental pots whose size and shape are irrelevant. The water supply for the plants is generally displayed by means of a water level indicator so that lacking water can be topped up. The water level is indicated visually. The invention sets out from the object of providing a device for providing potted plants with liquid in conjunction with a container, a wick and a water level indicator. This device is to allow any culture pots to be combined with any containers, specifically for the normal case with controllable water level and for long-term provision of liquid to the plants. The device has one or more attachment elements (100) with a polygonal contour which is preferably octagonal or hexagonal. Due to the overlappings (108) and overlapping surfaces (109), these attachment elements can optionally be fitted one above the other or in a flat arrangement adjacent to one another due to the projections (107) and grooves (106). Additionally, these attachment elements have a flat attachment surface (110), as well as an outer ring (105) and an inner ring (104), which rings are connected to one another by webs. The overlappings, which are mounted on the outsides of the outer ring, are situated below the overlapping surfaces, the outer dimensions of the projections corresponding to the inner dimensions of the grooves. The water level indicator (800) is a hollow guide element (801) with a laid-out insertion part (802) at the lower end. The insertion part corresponds in its dimensions to the grooves of the attachment element. The float (803) is attached to the indicator flap (804). At its upper end, the guide element has markings whose vertical intervals correspond to the height of an attachment element. <IMAGE>
