PURPOSE:To perform highly reliable system constitution control automatically, by storing a program for unresident program substitution which is needed after the constitution control is performed in the stand-by area of a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:When an earthquake which is so large that an auxiliary storage device 2 is disabled to be used is detected, a seismometer 20 sends a constitution control program start command 21 to a computer system 26 in the form of an external interruption. Consequently, a constitution control program 22 is started to store a resident program 4 in an auxiliary storage device 24, to generate a start inhibition command 25 for the unresident program 9, and read the unresident program substituting program 23 as shown by 14. A stop command 27 is sent out to an auxiliary storage device 2, which is prevented from breaking down physically. Consequently, the computer system 26 is operated by only the resident program 4 which is disallowed to use the auxiliary storage device 2 and the unresident program substitution program 23. |
