PURPOSE:To form accurately and easily a copy design for screen printing by printing basic patterns on a light transmitting base film using a transparent dveloper and by bringing a coupler into contact with the film in the form of a desired figure. CONSTITUTION:Baisc patterns (a) are separately printed on a transparent base film 1 made of nonstretchable polyethylene terephthalate or the like using a transparent developer such as a resin emulsion prepared by dispersing bisphenol A and an acidic substance such as acid clay to form a film for forming a copy design. A soln. of a coupler such as a leuco dye which develops color when it contacts with said developer is then applied to the film for forming a copy design in the form of a prescribed figure to allow the basic patterns (a) in the range of the figure to develop color. Thus, a copy design A is formed.
