PURPOSE:To obtain a double-sided recording medium which produces no crosstalk, by forming a double-layer part separately within the surface of a recording medium to use it as a recording track and at the same time distributing alternately the recording tracks on both sides of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The recording tracks containing double-layer parts formed by by laminating vertically magnetized layers 5A and 5B on intra-surface magnetized layers 6A and 6B are distributed alternately on both sides of a substrate 4 so that their overlapping area is reduced as less as possible. The layers 6A and 6B having high permeability are formed at the position corresponding to a track part, and the grooves of these layers 6A and 6B are filled with layers 5A and 5B to form a double-sided recording medium. The recording track is equal to the region shown by a code T. The area of the layers 6A and 6B function as guard band G. The recording track is decided so as to reduce the crosstalk noise produced from the rear side. In this case, only the overlap area between the vertically magnetized layer and the intra-surface magnetized layer is selected to be used as a recording track. And this fact is utilized. |
