PURPOSE:To reduce the probability for the stoppage of a system, by providing a service processor which executes the loading of an initial program by an indication when the state of a central processor is always monitored and the checking is discontinued. CONSTITUTION:When a central processor 1 is unable to recover by itself and stops its checking, a service processor 6 which always monitors the state of the processor 1 detects the above-mentioned state of the processor 1. In case a switch which can be designated properly for a system indicates the checking initial program loading (IPL), the information for study of the factors of a fault is shunted to a flexible disk device 8 and then the whole system including the processor 1 is initialized after a proper delay to start an IPL action. Thus the processor 1 proceeds to an IPL action, and the processor 6 transfers a career showing that a checking stop state is changed to an ILP action to the software. |
