PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in heat transmission capacity of a heat exchanger by a construction a supersonic vibrator is provided to transmit supersonic vibration to a pipe in which a heating liquid flows thereby breaking the boundary layer formed on the inner wall of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:This heat exchanger comprises a core section 3, and an upper tank 5, and a lower tank 6 located on and under the core section 3 and connected through seat plates 4. Fixedly secured to the upper surface of the upper tank 5 is a supersonic vibrator 11. The vibration generated by the vibrator 11 is transmitted through the upper tank 5 and the seat plate 4 to the pipe 1 through which a heating liquid passes to break the boundary layer of the inner surface 1a of the pipe. As a result, the fluid flowing through the pipe 1 is brought into direct contact with the inner surface 1a so that reduction in the heat transmission capacity of the heat exchanger can be prevented. |
