PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of friction pads in assembling to a caliper by a structure wherein the friction pads are hanged by hooking to the caliper and the hanging by hooking of the friction pads can be released by axially shifting the friction pads to predetermined positions with respect to the caliper. CONSTITUTION:Stepped shoulder parts 5c and 5c, which are formed at the right and left portions in the saddle part of the caliper 5, are extended toward the direction of the axis of a rotor 1 with gaps for taking out pad plates formed by breaking a certain length of the shoulder parts at the positions corresponding to the outer edge of the rotor 1. A pair of hooks 17a and 18a to hook to the right and left stepped shoulder parts 5c and 5c are formed at both the right and left upper corners of the pad back plate of the friction pads 17 and 18 respectively so as to be hung by the caliper 5 by hooking before the friction pads 17 and 18 are assembled to a support part 2. The respective friction pads 17 and 18 can be dismounted from the caliper 5 by respectively shifting the pads 17 and 18 to the gaps 5d and 5d, at which the right and left stepped shoulder parts 5c and 5c are broken over a certain length. |
