The invention relates to a device for removing pelt mounting poles that comprises a swivel arm 1 which consists of a pipe accommodating a thinner pipe 2. One end of the latter is shaped like a metal tongue 3, whilst its other end is connected to a hole 15 for advancing a handle 5. A spring 6 ensures the return movement, and a catch 4 stops the pelt-mounting pole ("tane") when the pipe 2 is moved forward. The swivel arm is mounted on a beam 11 with four fixing points 7,8,17,18 for pelt- mounting poles for male animals, female animals, mink and foxes, respectively. The pelt-mounting pole is fixed in a self-locking pole-holder 10 at the bottom, and the whole structure is mounted on an iron plate 12. When the pelt and its mounting pole 13,14 are applied to the mounting pole holder 10 and the metal tongue 3 is moved in between the pelt and the pole with the aid of the handle 5, the mounting pole can be drawn off the pelt by simply pulling it downwards by hand. The pelt can then be removed from the mounting pole without any damage to it. <IMAGE>
