A cover 3 for a centrifugal spinning pot 1 is provided with a skirt 5 adapted to seat upon a ledge 7 in the upper part of the pot 1. The cover 3 which is preferably of a plastics material is concave on the inside. The upper limit of movement of the yarn or filament delivery tube which extends through an opening 4 in the cover 3 is arranged to lie above the plane in which the skirt 5 contacts the ledge 7 so that the yarn or filament will be laid at an angle to this plane and will not tend to slip between the pot and the cover. The cover is formed with a taper 6 to facilitate initial positioning and is retained in the pot by a circlip engaging a groove 2 in the pot.</p> |
