发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRODE FOR DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To be able to win an electrode with high compact density and great strength and obtain a discharge lamp with a stable characteristic by a method wherein tungusten powder or tantalum powder is mixed with an organic tantalum compound to be sintered. CONSTITUTION:5-20 capacity % of a solution of the viscosity of one centipoise, wherein an organic tantalum compound having a tantalum component of about 6.1wt%, for instance, alcoxide of tantalum is solved in a solvent, is added to tungsten powder to be fully stirred, then an electrode 2 is provisionally molded as illustrated under the molding pressure of one ton per 1cm<2>. The solvent is volatilized therefrom by heat treatment for one hour at 150 deg.C followed by sintering heat treatment for one hour at 1,600 deg.C to form a compact. Further carboxylic acid can be used as the organic tantalum compound.
