PURPOSE:To improve the reliability with respect to a fuel leak of an injection valve which makes self opening and closing by a pressure of supplied fuel, by actuating a fuel control valve by means of a solenoid change-over valve which responds to an injection pulse signal and by supplying and cutting off high pressure oil for the injection valve by means of the control valve. CONSTITUTION:A proper injection pulse signal E is generated by an innjection pulse generator 1 according to signals indicating the operating conditions of an engine such as the engine rpm., turning angle of a crankshaft etc., and a solenoid change-over valve 2 is actuated, in response to the signal E. When the signal E is applied thereto, the solenoid change-over valve 2, feeds the control oil via a control oil passage 8 into a lower pressure chamber 11 of an actuator 10 of a fuel control valve 3, while the control oil being supplied via a supply passages 7 from a high pressure control oil pressure source not illustrated in the drawing. Then, a piston 12 of the fuel control valve 3 is moved up against the force of a spring 13 to open a valve body 21, namely, to separate it from a valve seat 22, whereby a high pressure fuel oil which is supplied from a supply passage 23 is squeezed from a pipe 4 into an injection valve 6. While a slide member 30 thereof is then urged up by the pressure oil, the fuel is injected from an injection nozzle 41. |
