PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a memory by employing a plurality of sets of dot matrix which is smaller than a dot matrix necessary for all characters, thereby composing a character generator and switching charge amount at a set unit. CONSTITUTION:A character code is converted into the prescribed memory address, a code is read out from a proportional correction table switching memory, and is latched to a latch circuit 5. Simultaneously, the content of the character generator is read out, is converted into serial data, and a deflection according to A sorts of the correction table is performed. When 8-dot data are dispatched, an output of 1/8 frequency division can be obtained, thereby incrementing the character generator address, next 8-dot data are read out and the deflection is performed. This is repeated and when the proportional code is matched to the character generator address, an output is obtained from a coincidence circuit 6, and next character code is read out from a buffer memory 3. |
