PURPOSE:To enhance the comfort which a car offers by providing adjustability for the spring constant of a vibration preventive rubber, to be used in an engine mounting etc., and by supressing vibrations at the time of idling and usual driving. CONSTITUTION:A worm 21 meshes with a worm wheel 19 to rotate an elastic member 13 to any desired rotational position with respect to a cylindrical framing 11 and a hollow shaft 12. This elastic member 13 is provided with a hollow part 18, and the spring constant of the member 13 can be adjusted by changing the location of this hollow part 18. At the time of idling, the hollow part 18 is located in the direction engine's vibrating motive is applied to lessen the spring constant and lower the engine roll stiffness. At the time of usual driving, the elastic member 13 is turned 90 deg. to increase the spring constant and to raise the engine roll stiffness. |
