PURPOSE:To prevent air from being sucked into a pipe and to stabilize a liquid level, by a method wherein a connecting path, which is connected to the air through a flow path having a main valve seat between a pair of pipe couplings and having an auxiliary valve seat is formed, and an auxiliary valve, contacting and parting from the auxiliary valve seat for closing and opening, is operated in linkage with a main valve contacting and parting from the main valve seat for closing and opening. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a large flow rate test, a flow rate adjusting valve 4 is opened widely to allow the passage of a large flow rate of water, but if a flow rate is large, a main valve 13 of a liquid level stabilizer 8 is turned clockwise in a drawing by dint of a water flow pressure, and an auxiliary valve 21 is pressed against an auxiliary valve seat 12b through the working of an operating mechanism to close off a through-hole 12a. This prevents air from being drawn into liquid in an implanting pipe 5 through the influence of a negative pressure due to a velocity of flow, which results in preventing the production of air bubbles in liquid in a reference tank 6 and in allowing a liquid level to rise qietly without being fretted. |
