PURPOSE:To enable the privacy communication for a facsimile receiver, by selecting through a gate circuit whether the picture signal received on the basis of the output of a discriminating circuit is stored in a memory or printed by a line printer. CONSTITUTION:A memory 7 stores the received picture signal, and a line printer 6 prints out the picture signal. A procedure controller 11 discriminator through a discriminating circuit 11' whether or not the preset value is equal to the value supplied thrugh a keyboard 12. Then a phase controlling circuit 8 and a mechanism controlling circuit 9 are actuated to perform a printing process if a coincidence is obtained from the above-mentioned comprison. At the same time, the signal of the memory 7 is fed to a gate 5 and a switch is carried out to supply the output of the gate 5 to the printer 6.
