PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the whole of the information processing system, by providing an busy channel storage part and a location information storage part and not reporting the busy state of a disc control adapter or a disc driving device and making the internal processing possible. CONSTITUTION:A storage part 22 where a channel used by a disc driving device is stored and a storage part 16 where location information from an upper priority device is stored are provided; and even if a disc control adapter or the disc driving device is used by another upper priority device, the start of the disc driving device from the upper priority device is accepted to stored location information, and this start is suspended until the disc driving device becomes available, and a channel end status is reported to the upper priority device. When the disc driving device becomes available, the disc controller executes instructions on a basis of location information independently of the upper priority device. |
