PURPOSE:To prevent odor from generating and flame from leaking outside by a meathod wherein a nongas permeable member is provided onto the peripheral surface of a wick at the location opposing to the opening of a wick guide tube. CONSTITUTION:A nongas permeable member 8 is installed onto the peripheral surface of a wick 7 at the location opposing to a slit opening 4 in order to realize the structure, in which the petroleum contained in the wick 7 and evaporated during burning is prevented from leaking outside from the slit opening 4 through a vacant chamber 5 and through holes 6. The nongas permeable member 8 is made of flexible material and made flat when supplied as a service part for replacement. Owing to the structure as mentioned above, because the leaking-out of the evaporated gas of petroleum is prevented and yet no remodeling at the wick guide tube side is necessary, satisfactory results are produced only by replacing the wick used at present in the kerosene burner with said wick and yet said wick can be folded flat, resulting in facilitating in handling. |
