PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly and surely perform a pumping work by forming a cylindrical body with a plural number of cylinders whose diameters become successively larger upward so as to provide the larger upper part cross areas thereof and reducing as much as possible the frictional force between a lump of air jetted and raised within the cylindrical body and the inner wall of the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:When compressed air is sent from an air supply pipe 15, it enters from an external storage chamber 12 through a vent 14 to an internal storage chamber 11, and is stored while forcing down the water in both these chambers 11, 12. And when the level of the water gradually descends and reaches the lower end edge of a blow pipe 10, the compressed air that has been stored in the internal and external storage chambers 11, 12 is forced out at a stretch from the inside of the blow pipe 10 to a cylinder 5. And, said compressed air rises in the cylinders 5', 5'' rapidly forming a lump of air, and explosively rushes out of the upper end of the cylindrical body 4 to force out and pump the polluted water in the cylindrical body, while simultaneously with this pumping new polluted water is absorved frorm a water absorption hole 8 into the cylindrical body 4. In that case, the lump of air rises in the cylinders 5, 5', 5'' respectively having the diameters that become successively larger from the lower one to the upper one of them, so that the frictional resistance between the lump of air and the wall surface of the cylindrical body 4 is reduced, allowing a pumping action to be smoothly and surely performed. |
