DIAPHRAGM OPERATION SWITCHING MECHANISM FOR INTERNAL- COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:In a diaphragm of a device for adding the secondary air and the additive liquid to a mixed gas, to block the flow-in of unnecessary additive liquid even under high negative pressure by separating the operation of the diaphragm into two. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm 1 is equipped with a spring for pressing from the left side, while the side to be equipped with the spring is connected by a constant pressure closing valve 2 to the suction tube negative pressure conduit 7. While an air supply path 4 to be connected with an air filter 8 is provided at the right side of the diaphragm 1. One end of an air supply path 5 to be connected by a constant pressure open valve 3 to said path 7 across the diaphragm 1 is connected to said valve 3, and when said valve 3 is opened the air supply path 5 will open. When the negative pressure drops below -410mm.Hg, the diaphragm 1 is pressed to the right thus to close an inport 20 and to block the flow-in of the additive liquid.
