<p>PURPOSE:To perform automatically the tracking control with a sufficient capacity even in the long-time recording, by reproducing a pilot signal consisting of m- number of frequencies (m is an integer >=3) recorded on a video track to obtain a tracking error signal. CONSTITUTION:A video signal applied to a terminal 8 and a pilot signal generated in a pilot signal generating circuit 9 are added in an adder 10 and are amplified in a recording amplifier 11 and are supplied to video heads 5 and 6 through a rotary transformer 12 and are recorded on a video track of a tape 1. The pilot signal consists of m-number of frequencies (m is an integer >=3). for example, 4 frequencies and is recorded alternately on every video track. In the reproducing, a tracking error is detected in a tracking error detecting circuit 26 on a basis of this pilot signal, and the tracking control is performed.</p> |
