PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain a stable constant speed running by providing computing means for adjusting the throttle opening degree of the throttle based on an optimum control gain determined by a slope sensor according to the slope of the road surface and running speed information from a vehicle speed sensor. CONSTITUTION:A set switch 2 is operated when the constant speed running is designated, and a cancel switch 3 is actuated by a brake pedal. The vehicle speed sensor 4 supplies running speed information C and a slope sensor 5 supplies slope information d corresponding to the slope of the road surface. Based on a control valve control signal e from a microcomputer 1 and a release valve control signal f, a control valve and a releases valve are opened and closed, and the opening degree of a throttle valve 7 is adjusted. In this manner, constant-speed running can be maintained, and fuel cost can be reduced. |
