PURPOSE:To erase electrostatic charge remaining in an edge part and on a thin line, and to get rid of an unfavorable appearance of a reproduced picture, by projecting a charge particle current of opposite polarity of a surplus quantity more than electrostatic charge quantity of an area corresponding to a black picture part of the first electrostatic charge image, to the second electrostatic charge image. CONSTITUTION:The first electrostatic charge image is formed in an area corresponding to a black picture part and a color picture part on a photosensitive layer 2, the second electrostatic charge image is formed in an area correponding to a black picture part on a photosensitive screen drum 28, the first electrostatic charge image and the second electrostatic charge image are opposed to each other, and a charge particle current of opposite polarity of a surplus quantity of an electrostatic charge quantity of an area corresponding to a black picture part through a photosensitive screen of said drum 28 is projected to the second electrostatic charge image from a charge particle source 10. In this way, electrostatic charge of the area corresponding to the black picture part is annihilated, therefore, no electrostatic charge is left in the edge part of its area. Accordingly, even when development has been executed, a developer of other color does not adhere to the edge part of its black picture part and its thin line, and an unfavorable appearance of a reproduced picture is eliminated. |
