The invention relates to a heating installation for buildings used for living and/or other purposes and a simplification of the installation is the aim. This aim is achieved by the arrangement of all the appliances (9, 10), storage containers (8), control and measurement devices (cf. 11, 12), pipes and electric wiring (13 or 15) necessary for the heating system, which can be of any type and is preferably combined with other heat sources, in a prefabricated structural component (1) which constitutes a heating space (2) and which can be erected as a whole on its own or can be inserted into a shell construction without ceiling. <IMAGE>
