PURPOSE:To obtain a TIG wire for high tensile steel having good toughness by maintaining the proper contents of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo, N and the proper relations among these elements. CONSTITUTION:The contents of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo and N are, by weight %, O<=C<=0.08%, O<=Si<=0.50, 0.50<=Mn<=2.00%, 0.50<=Ni<=3.30%, 0.15<=Cr<=1.20%, 0.10<=Mo<=0.60%, and <=0.0085% N wherein <=3.30/(Si+1)% Ni, >=1.5 Cr/Mo are satisfied and the balance consists of Fe and unavoidable impurities. Thus the TIG wire for 80kgf/mm.<2> class high tensile steel having excellent mechanical properties is obtained. |
