<p>In a bidirectional data communication system wherein a plurality of main host computers (100 a-d) operate with a plurality of remote terminals (400a-d) that are controlled by a plurality of line support processors (300a-300d), a variety of communication disciplines are most often involved in the bidirectional data transfers creating lost time, excessive involvement of elements of the system and generally inefficient and/or unreliable operation. In order to alleviate such problems, and interfacing subsystem (15a-15d, 106a, 80, 106b and DLI) has been connected between the plurality of main host computers (100a-d) and the plurality of line support processors (300a-300d). The interface subsystem mainly consists of connection modules (106a and 106b) which use distribution control circuit cards (20a-20d and 20) and an intermediately connected network support processor (80) and connectors (100i and 100m).</p> |
